"We spent a night on one of Xandari's houseboats and it was altogether excellent. The boat was well-maintained, the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked perfectly and the crew provided great service. The chef prepared well-balanced meals that were delicious and fresh."
"Highlight of our trip in Kerala - Had a one night stay with friends after a hectic couple of days going around Kerala. The houseboat stay was just what we needed! The houseboat itself was huge, with a dining area downstairs and upper lounge area which gave you some fantastic views of the Backwaters. The staff and crew we incredibly friendly, they brought up coconut water on arrival and fried plantains as snacks whilst we enjoyed our cruise. We then departed the boat for a quick trip in smaller boats down the beautiful Backwaters, before an amazing traditional dinner in the evening and a chance to wind down as the sun set at night - the views were incredible! The rooms themselves were surprisingly modern and hotel standard (big beds, great air-condition in the evening/at night, decent sized bathroom/shower), with a lovely view in the morning as you woke up. Breakfast was great, with fresh juices and continental style food before departing. Absolutely the highlight of our trip, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do something a bit different in the South of India"
"Having already stayed at Xandari Harbour we took a quick 90 minute (arranged by the resort) to meet out boat. The one-bedroom boat was amazing with an air-conditioned bedroom and upstairs viewing platform where we gazed over the back waters from the comfort of our rattan loungers shaded from the sun. The crew were fantastic and found quiet remote places for us to park at night, angling the boat so you could watch the boat amazing sunsets. Chef Joseph was nothing short of incredible serving up an array of vegetarian and fish meals for us and never being short of ideas."
